In addition to full coat grooming, you can choose the style of shaving that's right for you. Shaving styles you may consider:
Lion Clip (Shaving)

A lion clip is a full-body short shave ith the exception of the head, mane and lower legs. You have the choice to leave the tail unshaved if required or as a pom-pom.

Lion shave is 1.5mm short shave.

Comb Clip aka Teddy Bear Cut (Trimming)

A comb clip is a longer length shave over the whole body and is more suitable for winter. Unlike a lion clip which provides a short shave, the comb clip shave length is typically between 10mm and 22mm. The most popular lengths of comb clip are 10mm and 13mm and are popular year-round.

Asian Lion Cut aka The Bolero (Shaving)

This style leaves the fur in the front and mid section of the body and shaves the back legs and lower back area. This style addresses the problematic areas that are prone to frequent matting. It's particularly useful for older cats and some long haired breeds.
Belly Shaving

This has become my most recommend style of shaving, particularly during the colder months, for cats who have recurring matting.

Most of the cats in my care are long haired or purebreeds with double coats who tend to experience matting more regularly that the average
(although still beautiful) short haired breeds.

Belly shaving, combined with full coat grooming leaves your cat looking beautiful, maintains a stunning coat while extending the time it takes for matting to recur
Spot Shaving

The only safe way to remove matting that can not be brushed out is to shave. We offer spot shaving to affected areas while maintaining the overall look and length. Often a solution to first time clients or in rare instances where cats get into trouble in the garden, garage or kid's arts and craft mishaps!

Paw trimming is also an option, leaving clean beans and cats on hard floor surfaces tend to get better grip when they get the zoomies!
